The motive behind Russia’s invasion of Ukraine remains a mystery as of now. Even though Russia claimed that it was liberating Ukraine from oppression and establishing a Nazi-free state, the country launched its military invasion. Russia intends to take control over vital parts of Ukraine, which will bring Ukraine’s government to its knees. Since these two countries are major exporters of commodities such as crude oil, natural gas, etc., the escalating tension has been detrimental to economies globally. A disruption in the supply chain following the crisis is expected to drive up prices for commodities.
