India’s economy is experiencing remarkable growth, driven by strong GDP expansion and strategic economic reforms, attracting foreign limited partners looking to invest in its expanding private capital market. Over the past five years, assets under management for private capital funds in India have doubled. Despite global economic uncertainties, investors are pivoting toward high-quality, profitable assets, which strengthens confidence in India’s long-term potential. Private equity has become a central player, while the private debt market is also outperforming, driven by India’s substantial financing needs. This dynamic environment offers diverse opportunities for investors, as mid-sized and rapidly growing companies face a significant funding gap, seeking essential capital for growth.

Real estate remains the top investment for 59% of Indians, with over 67% buying properties mainly for personal use. Yet, a FICCI-Anarock report reveals that high prices have caused a 3% drop in investment interest. While 33% still seek properties for investment, they prioritize timely project delivery, quality construction, and well-ventilated homes. Home loan interest rates strongly impact purchasing decisions. Addressing concerns on quality and location could help developers reignite interest in real estate investments.
